Who could doubt a site named Trusted Reviews? Certainly not us, and especially not when the UK-based online gadget publication is singing the praises of the Mio Spirit 685 EU. The site gave the Spirit 685 EU an impressive 9 out of 10 points rating, saying that at around £100, the satnav delivers unequalled value. The review goes on to heap kudos on the Spirit 685 EU’s five-inch screen, and praised the touch interface as “dependably functional.” Another favorite feature was the easy-to-use keyword search. The device’s RDS-TMC traffic updates and licensed IQ Routes were also highlighted pluses.

When the Nomobile.ru editorial team hit the road to rally through four Eastern European countries, there was no time to stop and ask the locals for directions. Luckily they brought along the Mio Moov S650 GPS navigator and In-car Recording System to point the way and document every twist and turn of their journey.
Loaded into a VW minivan, the team journeyed from Moscow through Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic and back to Russia. While the sights were spectacular, there was work to be done. This wasn’t a typical leisurely drive in the countryside. It was a perfect opportunity for the Nomobile.ru editorial staff to do some hands-on consumer research.
So, how did the Mio Moov S650 GPS and drive recorder perform? The Nomobile.ru team gave Mio high marks, crediting the navigation device with guiding them promptly and safely to their destinations. No doubt human navigators on the rally circuit are feeling a little nervous!

Mio’s big push to crack open the South American market paid dividends as the company topped a Brazilian magazine survey of the country’s most influential brands. Mio led the GPS class while edging out well-known international names in other categories, like Casio and Fujifilm. For its May issue, Info Exame compared brands in five different tech product and service areas: fixed line phones, mobile phones, broadband communication, cameras and gps navigation. Many of the competing brands were global household names like Sony, Kodak, Panasonic and Nikon. In the satellite navigation category, Mio beat out international competitors Tom Tom and Garmin.
