In 2011 Mio, an industry leader in satellite navigation and a top brand in Taiwan, built on its success by introducing the new theme: "Mio Finds the Fun.” On a Friday afternoon in early summer, representatives from several major media outlets were invited to experience firsthand the latest Mio software developments that are bringing fun back to life and navigation!
Phase one: Guests get things rolling with a hands-on Mio satnav experience
On a clear summer afternoon, consumer media representatives invited by Mio 3C gathered at Dongtien French Restaurant on Yangming Mountain, Taipei. Prior to arriving, each got first-hand experience driving a car loaded with new Mio satnav devices and learned what it is that sets Mio apart from the other navigation device manufacturers.
Phase two: Friendly competition inspires lively participation
A little friendly competition is an essential part of any camp experience, especially when it comes to creating group interest. Before moving from the gathering point to the camp destination, participants were divided into four groups. Prior to departing for their final goal, each group drew a task to perform along the way. Challenges included finding a location, buying items, or taking site-specific photographs. To successfully complete their tasks, participants had to use Mio satnav devices running the latest generation of navigation software.
Phase three: Sharing the advantages of next-generation of navigation software
The final phase of activities included a presentation by Mio’s product manager, who detailed the latest developments in Mio navigation devices and the MiVue drive recorder. The presentation was sprinkled with humorous and fun commentary, adding a festive atmosphere to the event, while fostering a deeper understanding of Mio's unique charm.
Reporters and media professionals left Camp Mio Taiwan 2011 with pleasurable memories and a better appreciation of how “ Mio Finds the Fun.”
