“Technically solid” and “well-crafted” are just a few of the positive adjectives Polish tech Web site PDA Club heaped on the Mio Spirit 487 in a recent review. Apart from a minor gripe about the lack of a USB cable, the review lauds the Spirit 487’s simple and efficient external design. The writer goes on to praise the navigation device’s easy-to-use software bundle, adding that “uploading files from PC to your Mio Device is satisfyingly fast.” The Spirit 487’s clear LCD monitor also won the writer over. After hitting the road to put the satnav through its paces, he found the device to be a satisfying entry-level GPS that gets the job done on a budget. Read the complete review

Who could doubt a site named Trusted Reviews? Certainly not us, and especially not when the UK-based online gadget publication is singing the praises of the Mio Spirit 685 EU. The site gave the Spirit 685 EU an impressive 9 out of 10 points rating, saying that at around £100, the satnav delivers unequalled value. The review goes on to heap kudos on the Spirit 685 EU’s five-inch screen, and praised the touch interface as “dependably functional.” Another favorite feature was the easy-to-use keyword search. The device’s RDS-TMC traffic updates and licensed IQ Routes were also highlighted pluses.

You may know that Mio is fast becoming the leading name in personal navigation devices. Here a few things you may not know about us. We call them “Mio fun facts” — juicy, bite-sized information tidbits about how we make some of the best navigation and driver assistance devices on the market.
More routes, more options — Route calculation is the backbone of any navigation device, right? Did you know that every route suggested by a Mio navigation device is selected from over one million possible routes? Variety may be the spice of life, but when it comes to getting you safely and efficiently to your destination, a wide selection of routes means the best choices are always at your disposal.
Putting our best face forward — Some may claim that looks aren’t everything, but in today’s crowded personal electronics space, image and functionality go hand-in-hand. That’s why each year a new Mio product identity is selected from over 200 preliminary product sketches.
Getting there is half the fun — Sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses, enjoy a spectacular view or do a little shopping. With access to over 33.5 million points of interest across Mio’s full line of navigation devices you’ll never be lacking for interesting things to see and experience along your journey.
Over the moon — Each Mio device has access to an out-of-this-world array of stored road data. How much? Let’s just say that the number of roadways stored on every Mio navigation device could take you to the moon not just once, but 95 times! We hope you packed a toothbrush.
We try it before you buy it — We wouldn’t send you out on the road without being confident that your Mio device would get the job done, no matter where you are. Every new Mio product is subjected to over 300 individual tests in each country it’s released. When you choose a Mio product, know you are getting a device you can rely on.
Green is our favorite color — When it comes to creating eco-friendly products, Mio prides itself on green innovation. Just ask the trees. By designing thinner, lighter devices that use fewer resources, it is estimated that Mio saves over 500 trees annually. Add that to the more than 600 trees spared by our smaller product mounts. We believe the green path is the best route for Mio.
